School Attendance. Did YOU KNOW?

  Prompt - Reflect   on how my personal PLN has grown during this workshop and my plans for how I will continue to grow my PLN and hope to contribute to the PLN of my administrative colleagues.   I started out in the beginning Sessions being cautious and out of my comfort. I have come to be more at ease now and more in my comfort zone. Building a PLN is an important feature for school leaders. I think now I will be able to maintain it. Although I am retired, I can make my voice heard and be able to advocate for students and teachers. I have chaired two tax referendums for my former school system. Both passed. First the tax referendum and secondly the tax renewal. I wish I had an organized PLN back then. In retirement I served on a district's five year improvement planning and I was able to use Personal Learning Networking. I wish I had known then what I know now.  I will continue to make my voice heard through my PLN.

To recognize the importance of good attendance, a group composed of teachers, students, parents and administrators met to recommend attendance incentives for 2025-2026 school year. Grades 7-12 students that have perfect attendance this school year will receive free admission to All home football games for 2025-2026 school year.  Students with no more than five absences will have their names placed in a box and be recognized for a drawing of prizes.  This will be a big event to recognize students for their attendance!  And rem...
