Prompt - Reflect on how my personal PLN has grown during this workshop and my plans for how I will continue to grow my PLN and hope to contribute to the PLN of my administrative colleagues.
I started out in the beginning Sessions being cautious and out of my comfort. I have come to be more at ease now and more in my comfort zone. Building a PLN is an important feature for school leaders. I think now I will be able to maintain it. Although I am retired, I can make my voice heard and be able to advocate for students and teachers. I have chaired two tax referendums for my former school system. Both passed. First the tax referendum and secondly the tax renewal. I wish I had an organized PLN back then. In retirement I served on a district's five year improvement planning and I was able to use Personal Learning Networking. I wish I had known then what I know now. I will continue to make my voice heard through my PLN.
Beverly,
ReplyDeleteIt's great to hear how much your Personal Learning Network (PLN) has evolved throughout this course and how you've come to recognize its importance in educational leadership. Your reflection on how your understanding has deepened, particularly in relation to the "Third Wave" challenge and the rapid evolution of educational technology, really resonates. As you mentioned, technology in education is changing at a fast pace, and having a robust PLN is crucial to staying up-to-date and ensuring that school leaders, educators, and even students are not left behind. I also love the way you've highlighted the shift in teacher collaboration over time.
Thank you, Alisha, for viewing my post. This session has given me the most challenges. It is scary to post when one is not quite sure if doing the right thing. I am thankful for this eLearning course and our instructor for the guidance which I feel makes for a more safety-net environment.
